Terms and Conditions
Payment Schedule: Prior to November 1, a fully refundable deposit of $1,000 per person will hold your reservation. Any reservations not deposited within 10 days may be released. Payment of 50% of the total amount is due by November 1 of the year prior to your trip dates with final payment due 90 days before scheduled arrival.
Trip Price Includes: Round-trip float plane service between Ketchikan, Alaska and the lodge; fully guided, water and land based daily excursions; nightly double-occupancy accommodations; all food and beverage including meals, snacks, and alcohol; use of lodge gear including kayaks, salmon, halibut, spinning, and fly rods and reels, chest waders and water boots, flies, lures and fishing tackle, mountain bikes, and hiking equipment; preparation of all harvested fish & game including packing in an airline-approved non-insulated shipping container; daily room straightening and laundry service.
Trip Price Does Not Include: Transportation to and from Ketchikan, Alaska; ratuities (which average between 10% and 15% of the package rate); items of a personal nature; fishing licenses; spa and gift shop expenses; optional air-charter excursions (except for the floatplane transportation to and from the lodge which is included in the price); and other expenses incurred while in Ketchikan.
Single Supplement: For guests traveling alone or as part of a group that would prefer to have guaranteed single occupancy, there is a supplement of 50% of the land package rate (based on room availability).
Early or Late Arrival Adventure Supplement: Depending on occupancy, it may be possible to accommodate early arrivals or late departures to allow for additional adventure opportunities. Adding an additional ½ day adventure can be accommodated for a fee of $250 per person per ½ day.
Credit Card Processing Fee: Our published rates are for payments made by cash or check and exclude a 3.5% fee for payment by credit card.
Cancellation Policy: We understand that sometimes unexpected events can disrupt your travel plans. The Lodge at Whale Pass is not responsible for loss of adventure time, lodging, food, transportation, baggage and fish boxes, flight delays, or other incidents resulting from inclement weather or other conditions beyond our reasonable control. The following policy applies to all cancellations. All payments are fully refundable prior to November 1. If it is necessary for you to cancel after November 1, we will try to arrange substitute dates. If substitute dates are not an option, a full refund less a cancellation fee will be offered, such fee being equal to a percent of the package rate, such percent being: 25% for cancellations prior to January 1, 50% for cancellations prior to February 1, and 75% for cancellations prior to March 1. Trip cancellation received after March 1 are non-refundable regardless of the reason. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than intended, you will be responsible for all of the original time booked. A reduction in rooms or guests booked is considered a cancellation. All trip cancellations must be received in writing to be valid. We encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover the potential of forfeited payments.
